Turn right at the first intersection after leaving
the Refuge towards Little Grassy and Indian
Kitchen Lakes. Continue on towards Giant
City State Park. Inside the Park ride to the
Main Lodge.This a nice place to eat. Continue on
past thelodge. You will be exiting the park towards
Cobden. You can, if you desire, travel through
Makinda (Senator Paul Simon’s Hometown)
Notice the black bow tie on the watertower.
Turn left (south) on Illinois127 You to bring
you back on track at Cobden. Continue South
on 127 to the intersection with Illinois 146.
Turn right and go towards Ware. About 5
miles out turn left on Refuge Road. Follow
this road thru the Refuge. Use caution at all
Railroad Crossings in this area of Illinois.
They are fast moving.

Turn left on Illinois 3, through Reynoldsville
and then turn left at McClure. The ride
continues on through Mill Creek and Dongola.
Here take U.S.51 south to Wetaug. Just South
of town, turn left (east) towards Perks.
Continue on to Illinois 37 Turn right (south)
and after 2 miles turn left (east) again towards
Karnak and then Belnap. Continue on East
to U.S. 45.

Turn left (north) on 45 towards Vienna. At
Illinois 146 turn right. Stop at Dollys
Restaurant for pie and coffee and or buffet
.

Continue on 146 past I-24. Just past the
Interstate, take Illinois 127 north(left)towards
towards Simpson. Before reaching Simpson you
turn left towards Tunnel Hill. At U.S.45 turn
right towards Harrisburg via Newburnside,
Stonefort and Carrier Mills.
